Character is similar to the section above Fugitive's Drift: challenging. Scout all major rapids thoroughly and take no chances, as the gorge is isolated. Some rapids should be portaged. The final 3km through the Posini gorge is somewhat easier. Kayakers wishing to run only the hardest part can take out earlier at a camp just above the Posini gorge.
