About
A scenic stretch, mostly flat with only a few small rapids. The Wilge flows reliably almost every summer, although exact water levels remain unpredictable. Watch for crocodiles and enjoy the abundant birdlife. An annual race once ran on this section but its take-out is a further 8km downstream on a farm, reached via arrangement and a poor road. This short stretch past the bridge, which technically belongs to the next section, adds a few class 2 to 3 rapids.
