Guil — Lower Guil (Maison du Roy to Mont-Dauphin / Durance confluence)

Classe III-IV. The rafting section of the Guil through the lower gorge past Guillestre: read-and-run class III-IV wave trains and boulder rapids in a scenic limestone defile. Less committing than the combes upstream but still fast and continuous at snowmelt flows. Finishes near the Durance confluence below the Mont-Dauphin fortress, where you can link into the Durance Sunshine Run. Season: May-August; holds water later than the upper runs Gauge reference: Vigicrues 'Le Guil à Mont-Dauphin'
