About
A favourite close-to-home section for East London kayakers, entirely rain-dependent and only worthwhile after good rainfall. Two weirs in the 12 km run should both be portaged. Two causeways can be portaged at low to medium levels or run straight over at sufficient flow. Several playholes make it a worthwhile play section for competent paddlers. Because flow is infrequent, strainers are common throughout.
