About
This is probably the most popular section of the Buffalo and the most accessible introduction to unspoilt Zululand. Suitable for kayakers and commercial clients, the technical stretch has no weirs or waterfalls and everything is runnable, but the Buffalo is volatile and should not be underestimated. Scenery is picturesque and wildlife plentiful, with giraffe, blue wildebeest, gemsbuck and other game common. The area is also a birding paradise.
