About
The hardest section above Hartebeespoort Dam. 7km, tight tricky rapids - hard on fibreglass at low water, genuinely interesting at higher levels. Permission required at Rhenosterspruit Reserve entrance. Key rapid - Confluence: ~3km in, just upstream of the Jukskei-Crocodile junction. About 500m of drops and turns. Run middle or right. To portage, exit left at the big rock and follow the path downstream. Take-out marked by a broken K1 lodged in a tree on the left bank.
