Saison — Licq-Athérey - Tardets-Sorholus

Classe II-III. Below Athérey the Saison mellows into a lovely class II-III intermediate run down the Soule valley to Tardets, popular with Basque and Béarnais clubs as the step-down from the harder Larrau water upstream. Read-and-run gravel-bar rapids with a few livelier corners after rain. Occasional low weirs and fencing near farms - normal Basque-country vigilance applies. Season: October-June; rain-fed Gauge reference: Vigicrues 'Saison à Mauléon-Licharre' as reference; goes with any decent rain.
