Sporty granite run off the Monédières massif: from the village of Corrèze the river drops through wooded gorges with continuous class III rapids, small bedrock ledges (a few IV at flow) and several old mill weirs to inspect, finishing in the centre of Tulle where the local club trains. A flashy Limousin rain river — best within 48 h of a wet spell. Shorter sub-sections around Bar are commonly picked according to level.
