Liamone — Vico to Punta de Truggia

Classe IV-V. The most popular section of the Liamone family, from the bridge below Vico down to the Punta/Pont de Truggia near Arbori. The river builds steadily into sustained good-quality grade 4-5 boulder and bedrock rapids with portages unlikely, in a remote-feeling maquis valley. From Truggia the Liamone continues at grade 2 to the sea if you want a wind-down. The Cruzzini tributary offers a similar grade 4-5 continuation lower down for those exploring. Season: March-May Gauge reference: Gauge at Punta de Truggia (old hydro station 'Pont de Truggia' at Arbori): at least ~50 cm needed
