About
Experienced class 4 kayakers only - fast and demanding. Technical rapids, many should be scouted from the bank. Good surf waves at most levels. No weirs. Hazards: 12m waterfall near the end - portage river left. Strainers are common from the waterfall down to take-out; a few earlier ones are easily avoided. Rain-dependent, typically runs a few days per month through summer. The lower flat reach is used by K1 and surf ski paddlers for training.
