Classe III-IV (V/VI upper steeps). Sporting Écrins tributary in the wild valley west of Vallouise. The uppermost kilometres from Entre-les-Aygues are steep (class V/VI passages, walk what you don't like); the run eases to quality continuous III-IV down to the confluence with the Gyr at Vallouise where the two form the Gyronde. Cold, clear and wood-prone - scout after every flood. Combine with the Gyronde for a full valley descent. Season: May-July snowmelt
