Classe II-III (III+). Wild, roadless gorge section of the upper Allier between Alleyras and Monistrol, paralleled only by the Cévenol railway line. Continuous class II-III boulder rapids with a couple of III+ drops, in one of the loneliest valleys of the Massif Central. Often combined with Monistrol–Prades for a big day. Take out at the Monistrol bridge/rafting base. Season: Spring; summer possible on Naussac support flows Gauge reference: Vigicrues 'Allier à Alleyras'; same Naussac-supported regime as Monistrol–Prades
