About
20km pool-drop through a steep-walled sandstone valley. Fairly continuous, suited to experienced K1 paddlers. Flow controlled by Albert Falls Dam upstream. Rapids mostly grade 2, tricky in a K1, short pools between. No major hazards. The river braids in places — stay in the main channels. Smaller braids can be too rocky at low water. Take out below the weir at the start of Nagle Dam, where the road comes close to the water.
