About
A 20km pool-drop run through an unspoilt valley flanked by steep sandstone cliffs, fairly continuous and scenic, suited to experienced K1 paddlers. Take-out is below a weir at the start of Nagle Dam, where the road comes close to the water. Rapids are mostly grade 2 and tricky in a K1, with short pools between them; no major hazards. The river braids in places — the main channels are safer, as smaller ones can be too rocky at low water. Flow is controlled by Albert Falls Dam upstream.
