Isère — Bourg-Saint-Maurice slalom course (Stade Claude Peschier)
Isère · Savoie (73), Alpes du Nord
Grade

About
Classe III-IV. The Base Internationale d'Eaux Vives at Bourg-Saint-Maurice: a 400 m semi-natural slalom stadium on the Isère with 12 m of drop (3.4% gradient), host of the World Championships in 1969, 1987 and 2002. The road bridge splits it into an international-level upper basin and an easier national-level lower basin. Big, cold, continuous water at melt flows — a superb training venue and the put-in for the downriver Tarentaise runs. Season: Snowmelt May-August plus EDF-influenced flows; slalom events through summer Gauge reference: Vigicrues/Hub'Eau station L'Isère à Bourg-Saint-Maurice
