Classe III (IV). Continuous alpine torrent down the Val d'Abondance, class III with a few harder drops depending on level. Narrower and woodier than the main Dranse — scout from the D22 which follows the river, and be alert for trees and small weirs near villages. Combines well with the Bioge gorge for a full day on the Dranses.
