About
70km remote, big-volume, technical run. Grade 3-5. Not dam-controlled. No permits. Flows into the Tina ~5km above the Mzimvubu confluence. Similar in character to the Tina. First half is mostly class 3 down to Tsitsa Falls. Below the falls the river enters a deep gorge with intense rapids — the section immediately below the falls demands serious respect.
