Classe III (weirs 2-3 m). Widely rated one of the finest whitewater runs in the Vosges: a lively granite-bed class III descent from Les Graviers at Saulxures down past Zainvillers to the Pont du Nol. Continuous small rapids between old textile-mill weirs — the first and third weirs drop 2-3 m and must be inspected (run or portage depending on level). Cold water and fast flushing spates; combine with the Moselle or Meurthe for a Vosges weekend. Season: Winter and spring (snowmelt from the Hautes-Vosges); rain spates autumn–spring Gauge reference: Vigicrues Moselotte at Vagney/Saulxures; needs recent rain or active snowmelt
