Classe III (IV). Big-volume Tarentaise run: Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Gothard is class 2-3 wave trains, then Gothard to Aime steps up to class 3-4 with powerful hydraulics at melt flows. This is the main commercial rafting artery of the upper Isère, with road access along the whole run. Cold, fast, high-volume water — long swims are the main hazard; check for wood after floods.
