Asco — Asco village through the Asco gorge to Moltifao

Classe III-IV (V). One of the most beautiful runs in Corsica: a 10 km descent from below Asco village through the 4 km red-granite Asco gorge, followed closely by the D147. Mostly continuous grade 3-4 with a profusion of drops, waves and playholes, rising to grade 4-5 turbulence in the gorge at higher flows. Most groups take out at the end of the gorge near Moltifao; below there the river eases a grade or two down to the Golo confluence near Ponte Leccia. Cold water and a stiff scramble at some access points.
