Classe II (III). Easier continuation past Morillon and Verchaix, braided glacial class II with the odd III wave train at higher flows. All the weirs downstream of Samoëns must be recognised before running — several need portaging at most levels. The river is 'alive': channels shift and it carries many trees with each flood, so stay on guard on the outside of bends and in the braids.
