Classe IV-V (VI). Corsica's most famous steep creek: put in at the D645 bridge about 1 km below Chisa and take out at the next road bridge 7 km down the D645. Six kilometres of committing bedrock gorge running at sustained grade 4-5+, with the celebrated Amphitheatre triple drop about 2 km in - a 3 m drop (run right), a 5-7 m fall (run far left) and a 2 m ledge with an enormous stopper, all inside a huge circular rock amphitheatre. Everything has been run but several drops are routinely portaged; scout thoroughly as the gorge is hard to escape mid-run. Season: March-May; small catchment, comes up and drops fast Gauge reference: Gauge below the put-in bridge, river right: ~40 cm good, runnable from ~20 cm
