About
24km narrow continuous creek, grade 2-4, 4-6 hours. Not dam-controlled, no permits. Put-in at a low-level bridge; take-out next to the river at the shop near Bacela (leave vehicle at the Police Station). Tight — not for the claustrophobic. Strainers, trees and branches are few but must be avoided. Several steep drops, the highest around 4m. Excellent playspots. The road follows the river to about halfway, so a shorter trip is possible by taking out where the river turns away from the road.
