Clarée — Plampinet / Val-des-Prés to La Vachette

Classe II-IV. Gorgeous free-flowing tributary of the upper Durance in the protected Clarée valley below Névache: clear water, continuous class II-III with class IV passages, in one of the prettiest valleys of the Alps. Watch for low farm footbridges, fences and wood - classic small-alpine-river hazards - and scout the steeper sections around Plampinet.
