Classe III (III+). The sportier Basque Nive stretch, from the Pont Noblia at Bidarray down to Louhossoa, home water of the Bidarray raft bases. Continuous class III rapids in a green, gorge-like valley, pushier and more continuous after rain. No fixed portages but check for trees after floods. Combines naturally with the Classique below for a longer day. Season: October-June, rain-fed; often runnable most of the year Gauge reference: Ur Tipula club gauge at Itxassou; the Nive holds paddleable water most of the year.
