About
A popular 16km K1 practice section in KwaZulu-Natal, starting below the Albert Falls Dam wall. The Albert Falls weir just below the put-in can be shot on the extreme left. About 4km of grade 1 rapids and channels run down to the Greytown bridge, followed by a flatter 5km and then a stretch of enjoyable grade 2 rapids. The final kilometres, known as the Gum Trees flats, are flat.
