K1-runnable throughout except for an 800m gorge in the high class 3 range - has been shot in K1s but is a compulsory portage in the annual 18km race. Put-in and take-out both need farmer permission - arrange through a local canoe club. Last few kilometres to the R68 take-out are very flat and contain one major tree-block that must be portaged.
