About
A 10km section of flat water and small rapids, starting at Woodmead School with a small weir. The river meanders gently for around 5km to a low-level bridge — portage at low water, or run a fairly easy chute a third of the way from the right bank at higher levels. As with all man-made structures, the downstream wave formations become dangerous in flood. A long flat pool follows, then a series of enjoyable rapids leads to the take-out at the Lanseria low-level bridge. At high levels, do not miss the bridge, as Lanseria Falls follows shortly. Porcupine Park, 1km upstream of the school, is an alternative put-in.
